The authors are both graduates of the University of South Carolina. She has a degree in Elementary
Education and he has a degree in English. Currently, she teaches at the South Carolina School for the
Deaf and Blind and he is a substitute teacher in Spartanburg County. They are active members at the
Central Church of Christ. Clay and Tabitha live in Spartanburg with their two daughters.
